Elizabeth:
Digital Images and Painting:
How they work together.Elizabeth will be bringing some of
her paintings and presenting, with Adobe Premiere, a discussion about
how she works with Digital Images and uses them with her artwork.
Paul:
Constitution Presentation
Paul will outline the time line concerning constitutional amendments,
and executive changes.
Final voting for constitution is in May, and final voting for the 2007-2008
executive will be in June.
Mike:
Future Program Discussion
Tonight we will have a general discussion - about . . .
. Everything !!!
We can begin with a handout which everyone can add to, which will ask
the question, what do we want to look at over the next few months? Whom
do we want to hear from? Dave, Paul and Mike will make some suggestions
to get us going, but we really want to hear from you.
One
unexplored area, for example, would be any videos which might be of
interest.
Dave has provided instructional videos from time to time (thank
Dave) but I was thinking along the line of a documentary of sorts.
Another
idea might be a computer show, which we are tentatively planning for
next year (our 25th year). Perhaps you could provide some useful
suggestions on that score. Are there specific programs we have missed
that someone would like to present, or at least coach one of us to present
with your assistance.
We realize that we are missing a great deal in not having access to
the Internet, which would certainly open up a whole world of possibilities
- including all the rapidly growing means of communications happening
(bluetooth, vonage, skype . . . . . etc) ( We ARE working on this and
hope to have access soon)

Ken continued demonstrating “evaluation” with a presentation of his good and not so good slides. Melvina demonstrated collage creation with her new version of FotoFusion.Other members showed some of their work including an album of stunning black and white photos by Gunter.
We discussed future meetings. There was a request for information on photo blogs. Mike has agreed to give his presentation on “noise” at the April meeting. We may have a photo outing when the weather is warmer. Also another visit to Henry’s was suggested. Kathleen offered to demonstrate “Stationary” at a future meeting.

Spent evening in two areas mostly, shortcuts on the computer and freebies on the net.
- Shortcuts covered how
to manipulate desktop shortcuts without doing damage. It was
stress that
much care was required when moving around the deaktop, or from the desktop, not to inadvertantly
drag and drop several icons simultaneously. clicking slowly a couple of times on open space before
moving desktop icons, or icons in other folder for that matter, is highly recommended! - Freebies demonstrated were Notebook 2, Fastone Capture, M8 Free Multi Clipboard and Open Office ver 2.1.
