How to take full advantage of Group sites, such as Yahoo.
There are several versions of this type of site but Yahoo is the one that BUG uses.
Paul will show us how they can be useful for sharing and coordinating information between people, as an alternative to email.
Paul will also show us how to create a new site for personal use with family and friends, how to upload and dowload pictures and files and how to use the calendar functions.

Paul Mather is our BUG President and Webmaster. He has also designed and managed several other web sites for the Ontario Government, Scouts Canada, and the Honey Harbour Historical Society.

If time permits, Dave Jackson, our Vice President, will demonstrate the new BUG Basics CD.

Mike has been honoured with both the Master of Photographic Arts Award and the Craftsman of Photographic Arts Award from the PPOC and is a Qualifiied Associate of PPO.

Mike's skills have been honed from over 20 years of experience in the photographic industry and he continues to upgrade his skills through seminars and workshops offered by some of the most prominent photographers in Canada and the United States.

Versed in portrait, fine art, commercial, wedding and digital imaging, Mike has been able to transfer and combine techniques from these very different fields to compliment and expand the creative process. His sense of lighting, composition and creativity are evident in his work.

His photographs have hung in the National Print Salon and the Permanent Loan Collection of the Professional Photographers of Canada and featured in publications both locally and internationally. For other awards, see our Articles section from the home menu.

Since 1984, computers have been Aaron's passion. It all started with the Vic 20, followed by the Apple II. By 1986 Aaron was programming games and applications in BASIC on the Commodore Pet. Aaron has built his reputation on service excellence. He brings with him 24 years of proven experience covering many aspects of the field, including teaching, tutoring, programming, website design, management, computer repair, sales and support. He is pleased to see other computer companies follow his lead to put emphasis on service by providing a"we fix it or it's free" ™ repair guarantee. Paul Mather will give a presentation on putting a set of digital images together to make a slide show and put it on a DVD. On May 10th we hope to have a photo outing probably on the Rail Trial near Meyer's Marsh. I will have directions and times later.

Presentation by Patrick Herbert of Thriftopia concerning their contribution to the recycling of computers and other electronic hardware components.

7.15 pm at the Carriage House Picture Framing Shop.
The Carriage House is at 110 Anne Street S, Unit #6.on the west side north of Tiffin and south of John.

Barbara Campbell will give us an overview of the ways in which we can display our prints. She will demonstrate framing and matting and give suggestions for using these as well as shrink wrapping. She has suggested you each bring one of your prints.

We plan to return to the Library afterwards, so being your images on CD or Thumb drive.
