George reported that Ken’s wife had been in a car accident. Elizabeth
was asked to send a card of sympathy.
There is work to be done on the bylaws in order to harmonize
them with the constitution.
Paul reminded us that there are specific requirements
for the next meetings:
March - requests for suggestions for amendments to the Constitution. These
must be presented in April in order to give the members a month to consider
them before the May meeting.
April - Amendments are presented in writing.
May - nominations for the executive - a nominating committee
is chosen from either new members who can’t be nominated or older
members who do not wish to stand for office. They should be willing to
solicit members to stand for office. Newer members of the executive may
be asked to speak about their experience on the executive.
The nominating committee is responsible for running the
election of officers if that should prove necessary.
June - Election of Officers
Motion
