Report
Total Balance as of July 08, 2005 - $1,918.65

The Herb Nye Fund will be closed at the end of the year. The executive
has already passed a motion to bring the fund up to $500.00.
Membership
Report
George sent a report that we have 33 members. 21 members
and 3 visitors attended the July meeting.
Newsletter
Report
Don being absent it was reported the Newsletter was as
usual.
Webmaster
Paul reported 10% more activity on the web site. The average number of
hits a day is 171-232.
He will put the picnic on the web site. He explained there is one email
address for BUG and messages to members of the executive are then sent
on to the correct individual.

Imaging SIG Report
11 Members and one visitor attended the August meeting.
Paul demonstrated three programs available on the net. Webshots, Flicker
and Yahoo all allow members to store and send their pictures. They all
have different capabilities Elizabeth reported that the next meeting will
be in the Georgian Room at the Library. Further information will be sent
to members. Mike Clark is to demonstrate camera settings at the September
meeting.

Three members attended the last meeting. They spent time
rehearsing Dave’s presentation on networking. There is expected
to be a meeting on the third Thursday of August. A possibility of an historical
video using old film and pictures was mentioned. This would be in connection
with our 25th Anniversary.
Business
Arising From Minutes
Ray handed out a list of suggestions for our 25th Anniversary
celebration. Several others were added. Paul Bennett is busy but Ray gave
him the information.
Suggestions: From Ray
Commemorative handout to al members i.e. Mouse Pad to
T-shirt etc.
Promotional articles in local media
Participation and/or sponsored events i.e. Santa Claus Parade
Invite and/or sponsor a local children’s group to a day of fun and
games
A drive thru Barrie with parade of our member advertising the club
Provide members with bumper stickers announcing our Anniversary
Invite all former members to participate in our anniversary celebrations
Extend an invitation to all computer groups both local and extramural
Invite dignitaries such as Barrie Mayor, Myles White, Jim Butterfield
Produce papier mâché replica of the BUG LOGO (D’BUG)
for display purposes

A BUG flag for the antennae on our cars
Paul will put a reminder about the BBQ on the web site
with a request to RSVP.
Brian told us he will be away in October, January and February.
