Don reported the Newsletter was as usual.

Mike said Paul had a lot of spam.
Vintage
SIG
Ray reported that Commodore had folded; however parts of it have been
acquired by other businesses. Gateway now owns the Amiga and uses part
of the operating system on its own computers. They have also produced
a new Amiga but it is not compatible with any of the old ones. A Dutch
company has bought the 64 and uses its logo,

Q&A and Tips went well.
October - Genealogy February tentatively Old Cameras
The Library has disconnected the connection to the internet so we cannot
use it at our meetings.
Digital
Imaging SIG Report
12 Members attended the September meeting. For the first
time our meeting was in the Georgian Room of the Barrie Library. The room
has been reserved until June 2006. Mike presented a program on the settings
of digital cameras. Members showed prints of their work. Dave used the
projector to show members images of some of our summer activities.

The August meeting did not take place due to the participants
having other commitments. The next meeting will be the third Thursday
of September. Ken requested that those attending come with suggestions
of the direction each wishes to go and the interests he would like to
pursue.
Business
Arising From Minutes
The BBQ was enjoyed by those who attended. There were
a few more in attendance than last year.
A sound system and mike are still being considered.
Dave suggested we need a policy for donations from the club in memory
of members or their relations.
