Paul reported “What’s New” on the web

There have continually been more hits to the sight. Google is responsible
for hits from as far away as India.
Brian suggested he try to get the Advance interested in an article on
the popularity of the site.
Paul sent an email to the Linux blog which then goes to every member.
He suggested we might have some interaction between the clubs. He received
some feedback.

April - PDA's – Palms, Blackberries,
and others. Paul suggested we bring ours if we have one.
At the May meeting we will vote on any changes to the Constitution which
have been previously presented in writing.
The nominating committee will accept nominations for next year’s
executive. It was agreed we would only tell the members at the meeting
which executive did not wish to run.
Digital

There were eleven members and three visitors
at the meeting.
We had a speaker, Keith Butler of Extreme Imaging in Barrie. He presented
a program on imaging using Adobe Photo Shop on a MAC. Afterwards he answered
questions from the group. His web site is www.xtrme.com
for anyone who is interested in what he does.
Video
SIG
The Video group filmed the activities of
Paul’s scouts who were doing a variety of experiments.
There will be a meeting on the 23rd of March.
Business
Arising From Minutes
Ray contacted Erin of City Hall concerning
our participation in Celebrate Barrie on the first week-end in June. He
explained what we will need, particularly a 10’ X 10’ tent
and access to electricity. She was pleased with our plans and promised
to get back to him with confirmation.
Ray brought information
on LCD monitors Paul hopes to find a suitable one for about $500.00. He
will call the members of the executive for approval if he is successful.
Brian, Elizabeth and
Ken will go to our Canada Trust Branch and get the signatures changed
for the Club.
