Report
It was moved by Paul and seconded by Ken that the Secretary’s Report
is accepted as corrected. Passed
Elizabeth sent a reply to Janet S. She has agreed to renew her membership.

Membership
Report
George reported that we now have 29 members. There were 17 members at
the June meeting,
Newsletter
There will be a newsletter in September. New members will be welcomed
in the newsletter.
Webmaster
Paul reported on the activity on our web site. There are up to 9000 hits
a month. It is visited by 52 to 100 people a day.
There have been a few minor changes.
The meetings will be updated, also the minutes.

Vintage
Sig
Ray had an e-mail from a Vintage Computer festival in Europe. It has been
happening for 8 years. There is one in New Jersey, which has been going
for 5 years and one In the Midwest now in it’s second year. The
one this year is in Perdue July 15 and 16.

Paul will put the programs on our web site.
In June Paul was absent so Mike and Dave gave a demo of “Open Office”
Dave started the evening showing pod casts and their sites. There was
a Q&A period from the floor.
In August Paul plans to do the program from June, how to search in Google,
how to make a CD/DVD and how to backup email. Also a demo of “Camtasia”
In September Earl may do a program on how to publish a book using your
computer.

There were 7 people at the June meeting.
Elizabeth did a short demo of “Picasa”, a free download from
Google. It does a quick collage of your pictures.
Alva showed a slide show she had produced with movie maker, a program
that comes with XP.
In August we have suggested that each member produce a slide show.
Melvina and Alva will show more of their work with “Foto Fusion”.

The group met on the Third Thursday of June at Ken’s.
Richard B. joined the group.
Paul gave an enjoyable presentation of his DVD. It showed an excellent
use of the Ken Burns effect.
Dave showed some more vid casts.
There will not be a meeting until September.
Business
arising from the Minutes
Alva has put together a list of places to advertise our Club’s activities.
She mentioned several publications and also suggested that Radio Stations
will announce local events.
Some TV stations have Community News.
There are BUG posters, which could be placed in such places as No Frills.
The executive was pleased with her suggestions and gave her the go ahead
to carry on.
Brian is to find the time and place for the Fall BBQ and report when
he returns.
New
Business
Ken remarked that the “Ladies of the Lake” are collecting
pictures to show what is happening to the environment. They have a website.
He suggested we might ask them to give us a presentation.
