Report
As the minutes for the July meeting were unavailable, they will be read
pior to the next meeting.
Paul will post them on the web site.

Report
Total Balance as of 09/08/2006 is $1,275.30
The acceptance of this report was moved by Paul and seconded by Elizabeth.

The report will be attached to these minutes.
Dave reminded us that some members of the executive have not turned in
their property list.
Membership
Report
George reported that we now have 29 members. There were 19 members and
one visitor at the July meeting. George said Janet S needs a name tag.
Newsletter
There will be a newsletter in September. There have been some articles
submitted.
Webmaster
Paul reported that there have been a few minor changes. He had been updating
the minutes.
Those who visit the site particularly like the “What’s New”
section.
Maybe some of
the DI presentations might be put on the web page.

Ray said he would soon start working on a 3D BUG to sit on a car roof.

Paul will put the programs on our web site.
In September Earl has agreed to do a program on how to publish a book
using your computer.
There will also be a Q and A period.
The October program is still under consideration.
Dave said he has copies of the “Lab Rats” pod casts, also
PhotoShop. These might be made available to club members on a DVD as well
as being used as part of a program

There were11 people at the July meeting.
Alva and Bill showed slide shows they had produced with Movie Maker, a
program that comes with XP.
Dave used a slide show that Elizabeth had started in Pinnacle Studio 9
to demonstrate how it could be improved.
Melvina showed how to add a signature to a picture. She also had a hand
out describing the method.
The group is being asked to produce a “Wacky” slide show for
the September meeting.
It is to be no longer than 3 minutes and demonstrate the use of some of
the tools available.

The group is not meeting during the summer.
There will be
a meeting on the third Thursday in September.
Business
arising from the Minutes
The group gave Alva permission to advertise BUG in the various publications
she has discovered.
The Fall BBQ will be held on September 9th at Anton Mills. The members
of the Executive will bring their usual equipment. Horseshoes and croquet
were considered good activities to have available.
Paul will put the information on the web page and request an RSVP from
members. All are invited including family and friends. Everyone brings
their own meat and a salad?. Also those attending should bring a lawn
chair.
Paul agreed to invite the Linux group to attend. It was suggested we remind
everyone that no alcohol is allowed.
New
Business
There was some discussion of possible ways to advertise our Club.
Paul wondered if we could have a logo made up to stick on our back window
of our car.
We could also have T-Shirts. They can be designed on the computer.
Paul mentioned that
the lack of an interned connection at the library will likely be solved
if we can wait long enough as new cell phones are going to have internet
connection capability installed.
At 8.50 pm a motion to adjourn was made by Dave and seconded by Paul.
