He and Mike are working on a redesign of the site, He is intending to make it easier to find information on the site.

According to our bylaws the webmaster has the final decision on what to post on our web site. The Executive voted in support of Paul that an article submitted by Ken was not suitable for our web site.

Anniversary Committee

No Report

Vintage SIG

Ray reported that the TPUG Site has a link to our Web site. They are selling their Commodore equipment. Seemingly, there is a market for antique equipment and manuals.

PC SIG

Mike sent the following report:

Program presented on March 6, 2007:
Elizabeth: digital Images and Painting: How they work together. Elizabeth brought three of her paintings, and also presented them via Adobe Premiere explaining about how she works with digital Images as a basis for her artwork.

Paul: Constitution Presentation:
Paul outlined the upcoming time line concerning constitutional amendments, and executive changes. Final voting for the 2007-2008 executive will be in June.

Mike: Discussion of Future Programs:
An interactive brainstorming took place concerning program/project possibilities. Many ideas were presented, most of which will be incorporated into our monthly meetings in the future.

The DI SIG met on Tuesday March 13 in the Georgian Room of the Library. There were 14 members present.

Ken Elliott continued demonstrating “evaluation” with a presentation of his good and not so good slides. Melvina demonstrated collage creation with her new version of FotoFusion.

Other members showed some of their work including an album of stunning black and white photos by Gunter.

We discussed future meetings. There was a request for information on photo blogs. Mike has agreed to give his presentation on “noise” at the April meeting. We may have a photo outing when the weather is warmer. Also another visit to Henry’s was suggested. Kathleen offered to demonstrate “Stationary” at a future meeting.

Video SIG

The Video SIG met on Thursday, February 22, 2007. The evening closed with discussion and decisions on how to apply our specific interests to the club membership as a whole. (See “ Business Arising from the Minutes” regarding Camtasia below.) The greater part of the evening was spent exploring Dave’s new Movie Editing Program; Premiere Elements 2.0 It offers a much broader “canvas” in options of up to 7 audio tracks and video streams.

The next meeting will be in Dave’s office on Thursday, March 22nd. Elizabeth was asked to come and show what she did with Premiere Elements.

Business arising from the Minutes

Computer Show:

Paul investigated Aladdin as a possible venue for a Computer Show during our Anniversary Year. He feels it offers many advantages. It costs $400.00 a day. (There may also be insurance costs.) We can invite other groups to join us.
Purchase of Camtasia: The Executive agreed to consider the purchase of Camtasia for the Club. Paul will get a price and contact members before purchasing it. The program would allow not just videotaping the proceedings, but also incorporating the related computer screen images.

New Business

It was proposed that the Club would benefit by having a speaker system. Dave will look into it.

Adjournment

AT 9.15 pm Paul moved that the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Dave. Passed
