that anyone with ideas for further publicity to contact her. Melvina suggested
our name does not explain what our club offers. Paul suggested we print
our present information sheet and see how it could be improved. At present
we are not explaining the many activities carried on by the club.
Newsletter
We still
need more computer related material for the newsletter.

Business
arising from the Minutes
Celebrate Barrie: Paul reported that many members came and helped. There
was a good response from those attending the event and many showed interest
and asked questions. There was some surprise that the club was more than
computers; photo and video. There were three winners for the oil can game.
Paul is attempting to contact them. It was suggested the winner be invited
to a meeting to receive his/her prize.
As regards a meeting room,
Brian checked with the Legion and received a rather negative response.
. Melvina has not called Georgian Manor yet. Brian and Melvina will investigate
available rooms for BUG Meetings. The Library has list of available meeting
rooms in Barrie.
New
Business
Since Mike does not
think that the meeting room at the Library has not been signed up for
the summer. Brian intends to go on Friday and try to make arrangements
for the Angus Ross Room.
The September BBQ is to be held in Brian’s Backyard at 20 Burbank
Place off St, Vincent on September 8th at 1pm. We are to bring our meat
and a potluck dish, also plated and cutlery. Soft drinks, coffee and corn
will be supplied.
Paul feels we need more emphasis on basic computer programs at club meetings
