Publicity
Alva is still trying to get the Examiner to advertise our meetings. Paul passed along an idea from Kathleen who suggested we make up a poster that can be placed on grocery store bulletin boards and other stores, with a tear off phone number and website address.

Newsletter
No report as Don was unable to attend

Webmaster
In connection with the suggestion that the Newsletter be discontinued (see under New Business) Paul explained that we have a Yahoo calendar on the web site. Paul requested pictures from the DI Group to put on the web site.

Anniversary Committee
Mike and Paul are planning to hold an organizational meeting to discuss plans for our anniversary. If we do decide to have a computer exposition it will likely be in late September or October 2008. Original members might be invited to the June meeting.

PC Sig
Paul and Dave gave a demonstration on networking computers in the home. The setting up of a home network was shown to be quite complicated. Wired networking was also discussed. We were reminded that the January meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan 2nd. George will send an email reminding everyone of the date.
In December a demo on Excel is planned as well as Windows XP tips and how to record from phonograph records to a DVD or CD.

Digital Imaging Sig
The meeting of the DI SIG scheduled for Tuesday, November 11 was cancelled iso that the group could go to visitation on the Adams Funeral Home for Dave Jackson’s Mother.
The visit to the Carriage House Picture Framing Store will take place in January.
In December Melvina will demonstrate making Greeting Cards on the Computer. Paul will bring his computer and collect digital images for the web site. He has a suggestion for using our cameras audio function to make sound records.

Video Sig
The Video SIG met on October 18th. Paul used the time to prepare his presentation on networking. Mike was investigating his new Premier Elements program. The group was able to answer his questions about it. There will be a meeting on December 20th.

Business arising from the Minutes
N/A

New Business
Brian moved that the executive approve a donation of $50.00 to the Gideon Bible Association in memory of David Jackson’s mother be approved. Seconded by Ray. Passed

Elizabeth suggested we no longer need a printed newsletter as all the information is now on the web site. All members are on the Internet. Ray mentioned we would need a change in the by-laws. Although we cannot put information about individual member’s dues, George sends all members reminders when their dues need to be renewed.
The suggestion will be brought up at the general meeting.

Adjournment
At 9.05 pm Brian moved the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Ray. Passed.
